This is a Swiss study for outfitting zebra stripes with higher visibility reflectors. Other technologies to note: SWARLO-System with in-road LED-illuminated markers, the XWALK lighted crosswalk system (Traffic Safety Corp., 2005) and the Intelligent Road Studs make by Astucia Ltd of the UK. I will do further research on those technologies as well as look up what Astucia Ltd is currently working on.

In my research on in pavement lighting i came across to companies that deal with pedestrian crosswalk safety lighting. Ive seen them in use in various places and will post some pictures of whats currently out. www.Xwalk.com and www.spotdevices.com are two leaders in this industry
