intelligent mirror

http://www.wkk.or.at/it/rfid/video_05.htm

check the video.
the same thing is already existing in cars.
there are sensors at both sides of a car and in the back
and they are sending pictures of the situation to
the mirror.

of course, this is no good solution because the driver cat focus on the mirror
because he has to watch the traffig in front of him.
but at least there are techniques.
they work with RFID chips.

this rfid thing is also already used in big markets. they register every product so they now
where they are and how many are left etc which makes it way more easy to control.

emergency button

well we were too slow i guess;)
this idea is already existing.
the emergency button is linked to
technology that automatically sends
a signal/ call in case of a collision

Airwaves City Car Concept Focuses on Safety

The new EV also has a built in safety system specifically for pedestrians. When the computer senses a quick stop/collision and the emergency brake is applied, the velocity will lift the Airwaves off the ground and lock it there. At the same time, inside and outside airbags will be deployed so both the passengers inside and the people outside should sustain only minor injuries.

for sunday:

Lyn wants us to narrow down our topic even further than car > pedestrian communication. These are the aspects of the situation we need to think about:

By Sunday at 6 everyone needs to be prepared with sketches and what you think the situation concept should be. Needs to be detailed and have reason why.

We have invited you all to the mindmiester that we want you to add to. See you all Sunday!

Define topic: What is the specific situation?

Concept:
-Filling gaps
-Physical
-Psychological
-Structural Demands

Factors:
-What is the pedestrian doing?
-What is the driver doing?
-Where are they? (i.e. rural, urban, city, etc)
-When is it?

List existing safety net:
-Existing laws (are they still relevant? what is inadequate about them? should they be changed?)

more ideation

car alerts driver when pedestrian is near by shooting up a wall of red light making driver stop.

several lights on front of car lets driver (or automatically car) adjust how much light is needed for situation. lights on bottom row senses movement and follows object in that direction.

everything i sketched deals with lasers (light beams): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_beam
